MINISTRY OF ALTAR SERVER
We are so blessed at Christ Our Light by our altar servers! They help the community to pray well. The ministry of altar server is an example of one ministry that supports the prayer of the assembly through the reverence and dignity with which every altar server plays his or her part in the liturgy.

Altar Servers Training 2024What: Novice orientation and training for Altar Server MinistryWho: Incoming 5th graders (just completed 4th grade)When:
- Novice Orientation Option 1- Saturday, August 10, 2024, 10:00 -12:00 pm Christ Our Light Catholic Church
- Novice Orientation Option 2- Saturday, August 17, 2024, 10:00 -12:00 pm Christ Our Light Catholic Church
- Novice Zoom Training Option 1- Friday, August 16, 2024, 6:00-7:00 pm
- Novice Zoom Training Option 2- Sunday, August 18, 2024 6:00-7:00 pm
Requirements:- You must have made your First Eucharist
- You must be a member of Christ Our Light Catholic Church
- You must be in Grade 5+ at the start of the current school year (i.e. just "graduated" from the 4th grade).
- In addition to the new altar server training, you will be required to attend training meetings and rehearsals for special celebrations throughout the year.
Those interested in becoming an altar server must meet the requirements above and be able to attend the orientation and training sessions. In addition, servers are asked to meet the expectations of an altar server and meet the obligations to remain an active member of the Altar Server Ministry. - Contact us: [email protected]
